Creature: Colo Claw Fish

Homeworld: Naboo

Height: 400 Metres

Diet: Carnivore

Colo Claw fish are like most creatures of the Naboo, fascinating creatures that have many abilities and adaptations giving them the advantage of stealth, speed and size. The Colo Claw fish is the largest fish or creature in the lake of Naboo. They grow up to a huge 400 Metres, of which is mostly taken up by the sensitive tissue in their tail. They have large snout with huge fangs right on the tip and many smaller teeth around its jaw. Colo claw fish are able to dislocate their jaw in order to sustain larger prey normally to bigger mean, their tender body and stomach also adjusts to fit larger meals through to the digestive system. The Colo claw fish digestion process means that they do not have to hunt as often as other predators for their meal, and after a well earned meal, the Colo claw fish will rest in a small cave underneath the rocks and lake of the Naboo. The Colo Claw fish glow bright due to their environment and are beautiful to see upclose, though probably not an all brilliant idea to get so close to one. When resting, the Colo Claw fish' glowing light will disappear and become a dull, dark colour, blending in with the environment. However, these Colo Claw fish are extremely aware and easily startled and it literally only takes a less than a split second for one to awaken and pounce on it's prey, giving the fish the element of surprise. Unfortunate for some Colo Claw fish, those who eat the eggs of the Opee Sea Killers, usually suffer the consequences, when the egg hatches the new borns are able to chew their way out from the insides of the Colo Claw fish bringing a horrible, fairly quick, but painful death. The Colo Claw Fish can also be seen on the movie Star wars Phantom Menace, in one scene where Obi-wan, accompanied by Qui-Gonn and the ever so clumsy Jar Jar Binks, rides a Gungan Bongo right upclose to one - further more showing how easily it is to awaken a Colo Claw fish, the Colo Claw fish ignores the 3 prey nearby and lets them pass on - either feeling they are not a threat or it had already had it's meal. When provoked, the Colo Claw fish will lash out rapidly at tremendous speed sending out loud sonic-waves that stun their enemy, and a extremely powerful poison that further more stuns their enemy - this gives the fish time to eat their food(including Opee Sea Killers) to avoid any disturbances as well as giving them enough time to digest properly.
